KINSole: a Vision

What is so great about rain, other than the obvious (rythm)? I think it is its ability to present things differently. Yes, it completely follows the protocol. But it also reminds you of questions like: why is this wall white? Children ask questions to get reassurance; adults do when they get a vision.

When words have colors. Yes, you don't need rain to get a new, clearer vision of everyday things. And I am not talking about weed. I remember as a kid I saw a 15 year old girl on drugs. She was like completely out there. I have heard about hallucinations and stuff but had never tried anything, so I asked her how it was. And she goes: wow! they are showing great cartoons around here!. I was so bummed. I realized, that it was not about new reality. It was blasphemy. She thought that the coolest thing in the world was cartoons — and instead of watching Jean Cocteau she saw the same damn cartoons on her trip! And she needed to drink that gross green stuff to hear a message that rain could give her free of charge.

This is the best thing about otherwise completely cold and rational (even calculatory) Eastern religions. You don't need drugs to watch the white wall. It's when the bottom of a plate in Paris cafe tells you that the mirror is the door to the outer (or should I say — autre?) world. Getting older, you learn to read these messages. Just keep looking closely at mundane things around.

What can be more mundane than telnet? it is like a shower — something you use everyday without even thinking about it. Well, I don't exactly know what happened to Hacker when he looked at it differently. He does not even drink, not to mention drugs. And I guarantee that it was not raining that day in Moscow.

So how it happened he wrote KINSole, I don't know. Yes, it follows the protocol more than others. Just imagine — the telnet we use everyday doesn't fully support its own protocol. And once KINSole was created, we could start thinking about gadgets. I mean to add some cool stuff and still follow the protocol.

It's like showing a new, clearer color vision of everyday things. Learning it is learning creation. And when you are too weak or too tired, there's always rain out there.
