T42 on a lan on a lan cannot connect to another T42 on the internet. The setup looks like this: t42 on 192.168.0.8 goes through gateway 10.0.0.101 to connect to the second lan which goes through gateway 209.98.171.69 to the isp. An established connection is made to 209.98.171.213. But there t42 tries to connect to 10.0.0.101 which doesn't exist on the internet. What would you suggest to do to get the second T42 to connect to 192.168.0.8?

If I remember correctly (it's been a while since I have written T42), talk protocol requires both ends to be "two-way" hosts. If one machine is behind the nat it will not work. I'm afraid I can only recommend you using different protocol here.

A friend and I have both installed the program
on our home computers. The installation was
supposedly successful, but the program does
not work.
"Failed to open/create secretary log database."
So--it's time to get rid of this program.
But there is no uninstaller.
Please provide instructions on how to UNINSTALL
this program and remove ALL TRACES of it.
Thank you.
Roger

First of all, thank you for your magniloquent rhetorics and especially for emphasizing the most important parts of your message by YELLING. We do need to be reminded once in a while that releasing stuff for people to use for free is a great responsibility and that it inevitably summons certain kind of people who are willing to praise us in the most peculiar ways.

Now back to your question. Normally, you uninstall T42 by using the Control Panel, but in case you managed to end up without the uninstaller there (which is not likely), feel free to remove the directory you install T42 into (I am sure you paid attention to the install process) and the menu entries. And to get rid of the faintest memories of this unfortunate encounter you will want to fire up your regedit and search for "Klever" in there and remove the T42 tree completely.

Does one need to have any of the extra services from phone co.(callerid or forwarding, etc.) for this program to work?
the answer is questionable, yet.
